PT. ESCO Utama will conduct its first ever seminar on “Innovative Technology in Pharmacy Compounding and Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs” in Indonesia. It will be held on August 31, 2016 at All Season Hotel Thamrin, Jakarta, Indonesia.

About the Seminar

Overview

Isolators are the most important type of containment equipment for the drug compounding and protecting personnel from exposure to hazardous material. Working safely with isolator requires complete understanding by the operators.

This seminar is designed to educate participants in these issues, to promote a better overall understanding of the isolator and hence safer working techniques.

Learning Objectives

  1. To explain pharmacy compounding guidelines, describe the roles of the USP and the FDA with regard to standards and relevant regulatory requirements associated with compounding practices.
  2. To describe requirements and recommendations for engineering controls used in compounding as a means of understanding the value of addressing hazardous drug management and containment (personal protective equipment) issues.
  3. To impart practice knowledge and skills among pharmacists involved in compounding and prepare them to be safer and more efficient in their workplace.
